OSM to provide satellite solutions for forest fires

During the summer of 2023 OSM joined forces with Orange Business Solutions, Diginove and ACRI-ST to form the SYLVANS consortium that was officially approved as a solution-provider in the fight against forest fires by French authorities in the course of the AMI-PANOPTES initiative. In the SYLVANS consortium OSM is in charge of the satellite solution, part of a broader system that includes mast-mounted video cameras and an app, among others. OSM's satellite solution is based on its plan for the deployment of its OSMIR constellation of LEO TIR nanosatellites.
